PRAYER
God still speaks to us today, but we won’t hear Him if we don’t listen, wait patiently, recognize His voice, praise Him at all times, even the tough times, live an obedient life, walk in His will, and “PRAY continually”. We live in the present, however, God is omniscient, He knows our future. Jeramiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” God knows what is best for us and when the best timing will be to answer our prayers. God’s answer will come through His Word, other people, our own conscience with the help of the Holy Spirit and even nature. There is always time to pray. Prayer is not only at bedtime, but prayer is from the time we open our eyes. Thanking God when we wake up, talking to Him and praising Him throughout our day, reading the Bible, and remembering to speak to Him before bed are all good times for prayer. The answer isn’t always what we want, but have faith that God is wanting the best for our life.

Dom Augustin Guillerand, a Cathusian Monk, says in his book “The Prayer of the Presence of God, that “Life is a battle, a battle between God and the spirit of evil. When a soul ceases to fight, it may be counted as hopelessly lost. And a soul that does not pray is one that has given in without a struggle.” Life without prayer is a life without God. Pray continually! God Bless your journey!

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NIV)
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
Luke 5:16 (NIV)
“But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.”
Luke 18:1 NIV. “Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared about men. … And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says.”
